PHOTO LONDON 2021
9-12 September

We are thrilled to be back to London for this much anticipated art fair dedicated to photography, the sixth edition. Photo London 2021 will be the first physical photography fair anywhere in the world for at least 18 months. Without doubt, this edition of Photo London will be the one not to miss! We are presenting exceptional works from Ralph Gibson, Catherine Balet and Rémi Noël.

Meet us at Somerset House, London, booth F07 (first floor) from 9 to 12 September, and/or on the special preview day on Sept 8th.

For the Photo London fair, we decided to focus on a very special selection of works by Ralph Gibson: four rare artworks mixing photography and music from an exclusive series called “Vu, Imprévu” the American master made specifically for Bigaignon in 2018, and one large contemporary color print showed only once at the gallery in 2020.

Playing with transparencies and surrealist collages, Catherine Balet’s series entitled “Moods in a Room” plays with virtual reality by mixing pictorial textures and digital photographic elements. The English-French artist superimposes them in multiple layers, giving a material feel to the unreal and a virtuality to her material images! The resulting compositions reveal the various states of consciousness of the artist, and illustrate her commitment to endlessly explore the dualities between content and absence, space and surface.

Finally, we are delighted to feature for the first time the work of French artist Rémi Noël. Rémi is a poet, a poet who uses images as his main language. His photographs, carrying a deep sense of freedom - that same freedom sought after by most travellers -, brilliantly mingles imagination with reality. His works offer us a tender and poetic vision of the World, with a pinch of an irresistible humour.
