Bigaignon is a light-sensitive contemporary art gallery. The line of the gallery finds its roots in the avant-garde movements of light and space, minimalism, abstract art, concrete photography and conceptual art, and is built upon the strong conviction that photography has entered a new era. Profoundly engaged in the promotion of artists who work with the fundamental elements of light, space and time, whatever the medium they use, the gallery is contributing to the rise of a new avant-garde. As such, with a strong exhibition program, it defends and promotes the unique vision of artists it represents or supports, whether they be emerging, mid-career or established worldwide, in their quest to propose a new visual vocabulary, challenge the photographic medium and explore the full extent of its possibilities.

To enable collectors and visitors to the Paris gallery to discover some of the works previously exhibited, or yet to be shown, the gallery has created a dedicated space called La Réserve. This intimate and much-appreciated space has its online counterpart. Via this dedicated page, anyone can access, discover and acquire exclusive works, carefully selected and presented in "viewing rooms".

In addition to its magnificent glass-roofed exhibition space in the Marais district of Paris (at 18 rue du Bourg-Tibourg, Paris 4), and its open and accessible Reserve, the gallery also boasts a one-of-a-kind boutique: the Curated (Book)Store. Within this curated bookshop, a leading figure from the art world is invited every 3-4 months to select some thirty books that are close to his or her heart. To the delight of visitors, book lovers and collectors alike, the Curated (Book)Store has already welcomed the selection of art critic Marc Lenot, Marta Gili (former director of the Musée du Jeu de Paume in Paris), artist Georges Rousse, curator and publisher Catherine Millet, collectors Caroline Wiart & Patrice Galiana and Héloïse Conesa (Curator at the BnF). In early 2024, the store will welcome French journalist, artist and collector Laurent Goumarre. All the featured books, and many more collectors' items, are also available online.

The gallery is a member of the CPGA (Comité Professionnel des Galeries d'Art), the French association for art galleries.
